For HER – A Ministry to Single Moms shares the love of God in tangible ways with single moms in our congregation and the larger community of Northern Colorado. Through attending meetings and building relationships, single moms and their children find support for their practical, relational, personal, and spiritual needs. For HER welcomes moms who parent alone, including those of all ages and backgrounds, to gather, network, develop meaningful friendships, and grow.

** Onsite childcare is provided for Kindergarten – 6th grade. Please contact Patti for childcare solutions for Pre-K and younger children. Financial scholarships are available for at-home childcare if needed.

Simply Faithful

Please join ForHER, a single moms ministry, for our spring event Simply Faithful! We will enjoy a catered lunch followed by a panel of guest speakers (Pastors KJ and Nate along with their wives). They will be candidly discussing biblical dating and relationships. We are excited to fellowship together!

Cooking matters

Mondays, beginning June 3
5 – 7 PM
Christ community kitchen and Community Room

For HER will be offering Cooking Matters, a hands-on course that teaches moms and children how to make quick, easy, inexpensive, healthy meals! It will be led by trained culinary and nutrition instructors and is being provided free of charge. Each week families will have fun creating a meal which they get to eat during the class time AND they’ll be given free groceries each week to practice recipes at home. (Each grocery bag is meant to make a meal for about 4 people.)

The Cooking Matters program is limited to 20 people (including moms and their children, ages 6-18) so our space will be limited. Financial scholarships are available for at-home childcare if needed.

  • Moms who are parenting alone
  • Separated/divorced moms
  • Women who had children outside of marriage
  • Teen moms
  • Widows
  • Grandmothers who are parenting alone
  • Single women who have custodial care
  • Women caring for a foster child or who have adopted a child
  • A soon-to-be single mom
  • Women whose husbands are on extended military deployment
  • Women whose husbands are incarcerated
  • Documented/Undocumented mothers whose husbands are in a foreign country, deported, or cannot immigrate
  • Women with children as a result of sex trafficking, rape, or prostitution
