The mission of Teachers' P.E.T.S. is to demonstrate the love of Christ to public school staff members by serving their professional and personal needs in a practical way.
We Believe...
…that when we provide public school staff members with the support and encouragement they need, we also support and encourage their students and therefore positively affect the school as a whole.
…that EVERY staff member in a public school should be included. We acknowledge that all staff members are “teachers” in their own unique way and that everyone contributes equally to the educational environment.
…that prayerfully cultivating committed, one-on-one relationships is what enables us to minister to public school staff members in a unique and powerful way.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
P.E.T. Volunteers: A P.E.T. is someone who is willing to engage in a one-on-one relationship with a public school staff member and commit to serving that person in practical ways so that they are encouraged professionally, valued personally, and infused with the love of Christ.
The commitments of a P.E.T. are to:
n Serve their adopted staff member(s) a minimum of once a month
n Participate in whole-staff service events and volunteer meetings
n Pray for their adopted staff member(s) on their own
