Equipping U Classes

/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Equipping U Logo.JPGEquipping U classes are designed to provide equipping that will prepare adults for authentically living out the Gospel in today's world,  connect them more deeply to one another and God's Word, and empower them to serve in Christ’s Kingdom in Greeley and beyond.  

All of our Equipping U classes meet on Wednesday evenings at the 15th Street Campus and Cameron Community Center -- the same time our middle school and senior high ministries meet downtown Greeley at The Bel-Air -- and offer on-site preschool childcare in the Tiny Tots area of the 15th Street campus (childcare through grade 5 for Alpha).

Here's a list of the classes we'll be offering this Winter, 2012. The Alpha Course is a class for spiritual seekers, new believers, the spiritually curious, and those who are looking to grow and connect, no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.   Alpha provides an overview of the basic beliefs of Christianity, is offered three times a year, and extends a safe and welcoming environment in which to explore.   Led by Larry and Janis Pottorff and the Christ Community Alpha Team, with video instruction each week.   

    Seven Weeks: January 18th - February 29th, 2012.  6:30pm-8:30pm 

       Location: The Community Room  

 

The Partnership Journey is a seven-week learning experience to help people gro/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Partnership Journey/Partnership Logo.bmpw in their relationship with Christ as they become more familiar with the unique DNA of Christ Community.   A pre-requisite for people becoming Partners (aka members), it's not expected that all who participate will necessarily take this step.  Led by Bruce Hoppe, Pastor of Community and Care, and the Partnership Journey group team, with teaching by Lead Pastor Alan Kraft.  

Seven Weeks: January 18th - February 29th, 2012. 6:30pm-8:30pm

Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financi/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Financial Peace University.jpgal goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before. More than 1 million families have attended Financial Peace University with amazing results. You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever!   Led/facilitated by Larry Rossman along with a team of group leaders.   Video instruction each week by Dave Ramsey.  

    Thirteen Weeks: January 18th - April 11th, 2012

The Uniquely You Workshop is a class offered throughout the year/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Uniquely You Logo.JPG designed to help people better understand their God-given S.H.A.P.E. (spiritual gifts, heart passions, abilities, personal style, and life experiences), and how these impact every area of life and fruitful involvement in ministry.   Led/facilitated by Monica Gerber, Director of Connecting Ministries.

Gracism: The Art of Inclusion will be a life-changing, engaging study and discussion around the /files/Images/Adult Ministries/Gracism.jpgissues of racial reconciliation and multi-ethnicity.  The dialogue is designed for all who are interested in what the Bible has to say about breaking down barriers of race and ethnicity, and how God is calling us as Christ Community to be involved in the ministry of reconciliation both individually and corporately.  The discussion will be facilitated by Scott Pell and Daniel Martinez from our Multi-Ethnic Ministry Team, and guided by Scripture and the book Gracism: The Art of Inclusion, by David Anderson.   Click Here to register now!

GroupLife Ministry Foundations is a one-session, two-hour workshop offered throughout the year in a/files/Images/Adult Ministries/Life Groups Logo.jpg variety of settings for people interested in hosting or leading a Life Group at Christ Community.  A prerequisite for all new leaders/hosts, this workshop provides an overview of our vision for Life Groups at Christ Community and resources for ongoing group leadership.   Facilitated by Dick Dougherty, GroupLife Coordinator.
