One Girlfriend at a Time!

 

Do you have a place where you can go to experience both whimsical fun and significant conversations with some girlfriends? Where you can invite a friend to come along, get goofy and laugh out loud, and encounter a generous, gracious God at the same time?

 

Girlfriends Unlimited! at Christ Community is all about having fun … giving women permission to relax, unwind, gab, and find a place where they can belong and form friendships with other women. It’s also about providing places where women can explore and cultivate a friendship with God, and extend His heart to others.

 

Our deepest desire is that every woman who attends a Girlfriends event or group will experience unexplainable, Christ-like acceptance, validation, and encouragement from other girlfriends.

Breakfast Club (Informal Breakfast Out at the 23rd Avenue Egg & I)

Join other women the second Saturday of every month from 8:00-9:30am to get to know one another by having breakfast together.  We meet at The Egg and I on the corner of 27th Street and 23rd Avenue in Greeley (just north of the Greeley Mall).

The dates for 2011-2012 are September 10, October 8, November 12, December 10, January 14, February 11, March 10, April 14 and May 12.

Join us for a one-day western-themed retreat on living a life of  sweet service.  Hear from the Christ Community Pastors’ wives possy on how they have made Philippians 2 a way of life and how you can as well !!  We hope to see y’all there.  Be watching for details.

To make our Girlfriends! ministry possible, we invite you to share your God-given gifts in planning, organizing, and serving! Here are some areas where you can jump in and make a difference ...

• G! Group Coordinators — Developing fun opportunities to share and connect women relationally in like interests: cooking, hiking, scrapbooking, etc. Contact Patty at 330-7191.

• Heart Whisperers -- Girlfriends committed to praying for one another, and for God to use our Girlfriends events and groups to change the lives and hearts of women … one girlfriend at a time. The Heart Whisperers Team would love to include you! Contact Patty at 330-7191.

• Food Ministry — Purchasing supplies, set-up before potlucks, food preparation, help in the kitchen, clean-up after events. Contact Raquel at 351-6329.

• Event Coordinators — Helping oversee themed events and retreats. Help plan monthly get-togethers.  Contact Raquel at 351-6329.

• Spiritual Formation and Bible Study Groups — Helping women grow in their relationship with Christ through the study of God's Word in mentoring relationships, small groups, and spiritual growth retreats. Contact Robin at 330-4208.

• PR Coordinators — Promoting events, create flyers/postcards, assist in video production or Power Point, help with logistics of events. Contact Contact Patty at 330-7191.

• Decorators/Crafters — Helping decorate for events, design or create décor items, set-up and tear-down before and after events. Contact Patty at 330-7191 or Raquel at 351-6329.
