Multi-Site
Expanding the ministry of Christ Community by living out the gospel in local settings and off-site worship venues....
In the midst of outgrowing our current worship facility, leaders began asking questions. What if we started decentralizing our ministry to the community? In other words, what if we multiplied Christ Community so that it had more than one campus? What if there was a "Christ Community Downtown," for instance. Same DNA, same values, same heart for Greeley and the world, same commitment to authenticity, Christ-absorption, and compassion, same weekend message, but a totally different worship experience? And what if there were a number of these eventually throughout the area? One church, multiple locations.
The idea is not new. Many churches are discovering that by multiplying themselves in this way, they can accomplish several things: increased impact among a broader demographic of people, expanded ministry and leadership opportunities, and more facility space to use in a wide variety of means. The possibilities are endless!
Because of this, we have purchased three properties in the 700 block of 10th Street in downtown Greeley that we have named "Zoë's." These properties will allow us to:
n Have worship gatherings with the same teaching but a different worship experience.
n Increase our facility so that we have room throughout the week for more groups, meetings, seminars, etc. to be better equipped to take Christ into our world.
n Be a renewing and redemptive presence in downtown Greeley, building into the emerging heartbeat that is present there by hosting numerous events for the college and downtown cultures, such as art shows, an internet hot spot, music concerts, etc. The bottom line is, this facility would increase our ability to be a blessing to people in this community!
