Overview
In March of 2006, Christ Community launched what was called "Project Beyond." This three-year stewardship jouney was designed to strategically release people and financial resources to impact our community and the world "beyond what we could ever ask or imagine" (Ephesians 3:20). Of the 18 projects that were pursued, some were completed in their entirety; others were just beginning to take off. But one amazing thing resulted from our participation in Project Beyond: Unbreakable partnerships with vibrant churches and leaders who are living out the gospel around the world, extending the kingdom through fearless church planting and compassionate ministry movements. How could our church simply stop giving of our personal and financial resources to help these people for whom God cares so deeply?
This is what Project Beyond Catalyst is all about—continuing to partner with these catalytic leaders and organizations to see even greater impact for Christ.
Project Beyond Catalyst will focus on seven different ministry initiatives locally and around the world:
the financial goal
Approximately one-third of each dollar given to Project Beyond Catalyst will go toward strategic international initiatives, one-third toward local initiatives, and one-third toward paying down our church’s debt.
With a financial goal of $3 million, raised over a three-year time frame, our church can have a profound impact on each region of the world we invest in. A financial goal well into the millions is not attainable if only invested in by a few people. We need each person or family unit to pray about investing in this project. We are excited to see how God changes our lives, as well as countless others through the duration of this project.
