Welcome to the Adult Ministries Home Page!

If you feel the need to belong, you're not alone. God makes it clear that we're made for relationships where we can know and be known ... serve and be served ... and love and be loved in community with others a lot like us.   Where we can be ourselves as the people God created us to be, and become the influence He desires us to have in our community and our world.

In short, our adult ministries exist as safe places for adults of all ages to make friends and have fun; explore and deepen their relationship with God; encourage, support and pray for one another; and reach out to people in need with the love of Christ in practical ways.

Connecting

If you're looking to connect with other people and aren't sure where to begin, we encourage you to stop by The Gathering Place off of the main lobby following each weekend service.   Our hospitality team will be there to greet you, and ministry leaders and pastors are on-hand to answer any questions you might have.  If you'd like us to provide some personal support in this process, contact Cheryl Jelinek, Director of Ministry Development and Assimilation.   Cheryl's passion is to help people develop meaningful relationships within the Christ Community family, as well as help them develop their gifts and abilities in serving others.

* The goal of our pastoral counseling ministry is to provide short-term support in helping people determine immediate next steps in their journey with Christ through life's challenges.  Jenny Hooten schedules all counseling appointments with Joe Smeltzer, Pastoral Counselor.   Contact Jenny directly to determine Joe's availability for new appointments.   We also schedule appointments with Corie Beckmann and Paul Hooten, who are Christian counselors in private practice in the community, and serve as a part of our counseling team.  If Joe, Corie or Paul aren't able to accept new appointments in a timely manner, we will provide referrals and/or resources we believe to be helpful in taking next steps, allowing each person to experience Christ as fully as possible in the midst of their immediate need.

** Sharon Street is the primary contact for people seeking practical assistance from our Soul Care ministry.   She is in the office on Monday and Thursday afternoons to connect with people as needed.  Feel free to e-mail Sharon directly if you wish to speak with her during one of these times.
