Front Porch

Front Porch is so much more than a ministry
--it's a mentality.  This mentality envisions our homes to be strategic places for Kingdom impact.

Remember the good ol' days?  You know. . . the ones where neighbors used to sit on their front porches, swaying back and forth in their rocking chairs, talking to all their neighbors?

Well, we believe that there was something to that way of life.

Please note:  You don't need a front porch or a rocking chair to be involved in Front Porch!

What your Front Porch might look like:

  1. Daily prayer walk around your neighborhood, praying specifically for each neighbor.
  2. Praying ten minutes per day for your neighbors for the duration of the month of July.
  3. Keeping a Front Porch "journal"--things you prayed for, what worked well, what didn't go as well as you had hoped, what things looked like in your neighborhood.
  4. Planning one or two "big" neighborhood evens--anything from a block BBQ party to football in the street.

What is Needed:

  1. A heart surrendered to the Lord.
  2. A dependence upon the Holy Spirit.
  3. A focus on relationship-building.
  4. The super-duper Front Porch Outreach Kit.
  5. Lots of F-L-E-X-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y!
