Christ Community has a special bond with the people of Peru. Over the course of the past several years, thousands of Peruvian people have come to know Christ and many new churches have been established all over the country. This, in part, is a direct effect of Christ Community's many short-term mission trips to the Latin American country.
The newly established churches encourage local church leadership as well as opportunities to train and equip them. In addition to teams from Christ
Community planting spiritual seeds, it is possible that as many as sixty national church planting trips to Peru may take place within 2007.
This Project Beyond initiative is by no means stagnant! The number of church planters has risen to 38. National believers proclaim the gospel in every department of the
country.
Project Beyond funds support the travel and material needs for these outreaches and a national office supporting this church growth. The Peru Church Plant team is also hoping to establish micro-business groups which, in time, will become self-supporting.
