Imagine a city with 37,000 residents, only 1,500 of whom know Jesus in a personal way.

This scenario represents the Hispanic community in the Greeley/Evans area.  Although half of the children in School District 6 are part of this population, few churches serve the increasing Hispanic sector of our community.

Project Beyond addresses this need. Initiative leaders and community members have developed a vital community network, and the focus is simple: Build a relationally-based church that develops and encourages leaders in the Latino population of Greeley.

/files/Images/Outreach Images/Hispanic Ministry/wedding.jpgAlex Acosta, a church planter from Peru, is working for Project Beyond. He and his wife are striving to build a network of Latino leaders who help in strategically reaching out into the Latino community. Some of the ways in which this is done is through English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, informative meetings and events, and through a new local mission to the migrant workers.

In addition, a Spanish-speaking service takes place every Sunday at 10:45 am in Christ Community's Community Room. The service was created to meet the needs and desires of the Spanish speakers currently involved in the ministry. Weekly Spanish Bible studies take place at different times during the year as well.
