Kids Hope USA

The heart of KIDS HOPE USA is this:  one child, one hour.  Simple, isn't it?  One caring adult mentoring an at-risk elementary-aged child for one hour every week.  Simple because when a child feels valued and loved, he is better able to grow, learn, and succeed.

/files/Images/Kids Hope USA/hopehappens.JPGTo accomplish this vision, KIDS HOPE USA is all about partnering one church with one elementary school in the area.   KIDS HOPE USA uses a church-based model because churches are better suited to recruit volunteer mentors who will be faithful over the long haul.  Because the church operates and funds it, these volunteer mentors are loyal to the KIDS HOPE USA program.  And because it is provided completely free of cost for the school, it meets the pressing need of educators for an intervention without breaking their budgets.

The opportunity is vast.  The need is great.  The idea is simple.

One Child, One Hour, One Church, One School.

You could be the one.

CHRIST COMMUNITY and KIDS HOPE USA

Christ Community Church and Cameron Elementary School--which is literally just across the street from the church--have been involved with KHUSA for the past eight years.  During this time, hundreds of Christ Community attendees have invested their time and hearts into the emotional, spiritual, and academic growth of one elementary school student.
