“I thank my God every time I remember you.  In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

The Apostle Paul to the Church at Philippi, 62 AD
(Philippians 1:3-6)

What's the Partnership Journey?

To be sure, it's not your run-of-the-mill membership class!

We believe that being a partner at Christ Community is a public statement of faith, ownership, stewardship, and responsibility for the life and gifts God has deposited in you and, as a result, within our growing church family. It’s more than just sitting through a class, receiving some helpful information about us, signing a piece of paper, and having an interview.

Our desire is that the partnership process will serve as a catalyst for your personal involvement in the journey of spiritual transformation through community among us. It also helps us consider how we can best support God’s activity in your life and enfold you into His work in progress here at Christ Community.

Finally, we sincerely hope that the Partnership Journey will be an invitation for you to explore what it means for you to live out the mission and values of Christ Community in personal, practical ways.

The Partnership Journey is shaped and guided by Christ Community's purpose statement: Journeying together to be an authentic, Christ-absorbed, compassionate community.

What's Expected Of People Who Participate?

The Partnership Journey is a seven-week interactive learning experience to help you grow in your relationship with Christ as you grow to understand and more fully embrace the unique DNA of Christ Community. Affirming the journey we share together, our goal is also to help you develop relationships with other people over the course of the Journey.

Each week begins with a meal, followed by teaching from Pastor Alan as he unpacks segment by segment of our church’s purpose statement. Integrated with this teaching is Christ Community’s story to-date, as well as our doctrinal distinctives, values, and other information about our church and its ministry.

Preceding and immediately following each week’s teaching is a small group dialog and life application discussion led by Pastor Bruce and others. This involves reflecting on your unfolding life story with Jesus and His activity in your life today. There are also some spiritual reflection activities we encourage you to do at home each week. In addition, each person is asked to consider the unique contribution God is inviting them to make in serving and extending community to more and more people.

On week seven, the Partnership Journey concludes with each person being given the opportunity to affirm a Partnership Covenant, should they choose, reflecting the alignment of their spiritual journey with the journey of Christ Community.
Shortly after each Partnership Journey, new partners will be welcomed at our weekend worship services.

F.A.Q.S. ...

When and Where Are Partnership Journeys Held?

The Winter Partnership Journey (January 28 - March 10) is currently full.  The next two Partnership Journeys are April 16 - May 28 (Wednesday evenings), and September 8 - October 20 (Monday evenings) from 6:30-8:30pm.  Unless you hear otherwise, all Partnership Journeys are held in the Community Room at the Christ Community facility.

What About the Kids?

There will be on-site childcare for children birth—preschool for no charge.  Parents must make arrangements for children elementary age and older.   All children should be fed prior to coming.

Must I Attend Every Week?

Yes!  When you sign-up, you shouldn’t anticipate any absences.  If a one-time personal  illness or the like occurs, we’ll make a teaching manuscript available.   If you’re absent more than one time, however, we’ll ask you to join the next Journey.   This may sound a bit blunt, but each week's teaching in conjunction with the group discussion is a vital part of the Partnership process.

How Can I Sign Up?

You can sign up for the next Partnership Journey by completing the information below.   Or you may contact Jenny Hooten (353-1159, x215, jennyh@cccgreeley.org).  Classes have filled up quickly, so we’d encourage you to sign-up ASAP, preferably by one week prior to the start of the Partnership Journey.   There is also the opportunity to sign up at the Adult Ministry and Small Group Expos when they're featured in August, January and March.

Will you be taking advantage of our on-site preschool childcare?    If so, for how many children?

For the seven weeks of the Partnership Journey, you'll be assigned to a small group of people who will journey together.  If you're intentionally going through the Partnership Journey with others (your small group, a friend, etc.), please list the names of anyone you'd like to be a part of your group:

The Partnership Covenant

At the conclusion of the Partnership Journey, each person is asked to prayerfully complete a personal Partnership Covenant.   Far more than just "signing on the dotted line", the Partnership Covenant is a personal statement of solidarity with the mission and ministry of Christ Community.   It's also a means to communicate God's unfolding story in their life, and how Christ Community is now a part of that story.   And, of course, it contains a place to provide information necessary for us to have an accurate recording of personal and family information.
