Prayer Ministry
We believe that Go
d uses prayer to release His power into our lives and our circumstances. We have a number of opportunities for people to receive prayer, as well as be trained to pray more authentically.
Beyond any of the opportunities for prayer below, please contact Cindy Chavez, Director of Care Ministries, here if you have any thoughts or spiritual insights into how prayer can become a more integral part of our church's life. As a part of her ministry on our staff team, Cindy oversees all of our prayer ministries, and has a vision for expanding the role of prayer in our lives as believers and at Christ Community.
Altar Prayer
At the conclusion of each of our worship gatherings, we have a prayer team that is available to pray for anyone in need. Join them at the front of the Worship Center. Please contact Cindy Chavez here if you would like to become a part of the Altar Prayer Team.
Soaking Prayer
For those needing more focused and intensive prayer, we offer Soaking Prayer every Sunday afternoon (except holidays) from 4:00-6:00 p.m. You can sign up for a one hour time slot and be prayed for by a soaking prayer team. Contact Jamie here to schedule your hour!
The Stream
The Stream is a prayer experience designed to help us learn how to discern the voice of the Holy Spirit. We typically meet quarterly on a Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00 p.m. For more information or to find out when The Stream is scheduled next, please contact Cindy Chavez here.
Power Prayer
This ministry focuses specifically on Christ Community's weekend services. Teams of people pray for the pastor and worship leaders and teams during every worship gathering. Please contact Cindy Chavez here to be a part of this team!
Prayer Chain
For emergency needs, we utilize a telephone prayer chain consisting of 25 to 30 intercessors. Please contact Kathy here with your prayer request.
Prayer Grams
During each worship gathering, people have the opportunity to write prayer requests on their Worship Response Cards. These requests are distributed to volunteer teams who write prayers of response on postcard-sized notes and mail them back to the individuals. Please contact Kathy here to be a part of this team!
Intercessory Prayer
In addition to the prayer grams, the weekly prayer requests are also sent to 4 rotating teams and each request is soaked in prayer for an entire month. Please contact Cindy Chavez here to be placed on a team!
Prayer Room
Adjacent to our worship center is a prayer room that is available throughout the week for those wanting a quiet place to seek the Lord. Please contact Kathy here to schedule your prayer time.
