KJ Tencza-Director Of Senior High Ministries
Favorite High School Memory: Going to California for the National DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) Conference and winning top 10 in the nation in the Entrepreneurship Written Event! WooHoo!
Worst High School Memory: Driver's Education Class!
Where are you and where are you going? I am the Director of Senior High Ministries at Christ Community Church and am loving it! I am in love with my wife, Yendra, and my son, Zion. Together, we are going to change the world, and no one is going to stop us!
What is your greatest passion? I LOVE testifying to the truth whether that is in the form of writing, teaching, or preaching. (I'm a big fan of reading theological works as well.)
Why high school students? Because they are pretty much amazing in every sense of the word! I love the stage of life they are in, the passion they hold, the critial mind they have obtained, and the experiences they want.

Favorite High School Memory: Going to senior prom as dumb and dumber.
Worst High School Memory: Going to the bathroom in my pants on the way to first period as I was late and having to leave my droors in my locker until lunch. (This was my senior year!)
Where you are and where you are going: I am married to my wife Lindsay, and we have a son named, Hayden. Currently I work for Weld County with teens, and soon I will be going to school as a 25-year-old freshmen.
What is your greatest Passion? It used to be skiiing, then it was mountain biking after skiing became an idol. Now it's (and has been) experiencing new cultures and people.
Why high school students? It is in my blood! For a while I thought that I could do something different...NOPE! Since high school, I've known I'd be involved with youth until the end of time. Sometimes I don't know if it's a curse or a blessing, but either way-I LOVE IT!

Favorite High School Memory: Winning best drum line in the state during my junior year, and competing on the national level with drawings in art shows my sophomore and senior years.
Worst High School Memory: Wrecking my car during my senior year and having to face my dad.
Where are you and where are you going? I'm the art director of marketing for Windows IT PRO Magizine (creativity is incredibly important to me). I've done youth ministry here at Christ Community for 17 years now and would feel incomplete without it. I married my best-friend (BFF), Lisa. Anywhere I am going will involve all of the above!
What is your greatest passion? Young people--helping them grow in Christ, but also just in the normal areas of their lives. Creativity--in art, films, books, and expecially in music.

Favorite High School Memory: Having a triple double in the state basketball tournament and progressing to the next level.
Worst High School Memory: Cheating on a math test and having to lie to all the people I respect in an attempt to explain the sudden improvement, walking around for weeks with all the guilt of an undeserved grade and the weight of being dishonest.
Where are you and where are you going? I am learning to delight in God's "unpredictability," and I am on my way to becoming a rockstar wife and a woman who loves like Jesus.
What is your greatest passion? Becoming who I am called to be and enjoying the journey!
Why high school students? High school students are at a critical juncture in life, and I feel so honored to encourage them along the way. I feel called to pour my life into students and help them understand who they are with Christ and the hope we have as God's kids.

Worst High School Memory: Allowing my poor self-image to overshaddow all Christ wanted me to be.
Where are you and where are you going? Currently, I am trusting God for providing for us, and I pray that He will guide me back into full-time ministry in the future.
What is your greatest passion? Helping high school students commit themselves to Christ for a lifetime, not just for a season.
Why high school students?
See above. I LOVE THEM ALL!

Favorite High School Memory: Being a football manager for all four years!
Worst High School Memory: The first day of basketball practice my senior year.
Where are you and where are you going? I am a senior at UNC where I am studying athletic training and minoring in nutrition and Spanish. I hope to go on to get a master's degree and become a certified atheletic trainer at a high school or college level.
What is your greatest passion? God. People. =)
Why high school students? They're younger than me! =) The leaders I had in high school really made a difference in my life by simply being there for me. I believe this is where God wants me right now, and high schoolers are the population He wants me to work with. Not to mention that they rock and I LOVE THEM!
